Friendly Visits & Workshops

Friendly Visits

NNPCN’s Friendly Visits program offers companionship and connection to individuals who may be experiencing isolation due to illness, aging, or life circumstances.

Our trained volunteers provide regular visits in private homes, hospitals, long-term care homes, and retirement residences. Through simple conversation, shared moments, and a caring presence, we help reduce loneliness and bring comfort and connection to those we serve.

Friendly Visits are centered on building meaningful relationships and creating a sense of belonging. Whether it’s a quiet conversation, a shared activity, or simply spending time together, our volunteers offer warmth, respect, and companionship that can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.

Community Workshops

NNPCN’s Community Workshops are designed to educate, support, and empower individuals, families, and caregivers through all stages of caregiving, illness, and grief.

These workshops provide practical information and guidance on topics such as palliative care, caregiving, advance care planning, and coping with grief and loss. They also create a space for open conversation, shared experiences, and learning within a supportive community environment.

Led by knowledgeable facilitators and supported by compassionate volunteers, our workshops help build awareness, reduce stigma, and strengthen community connections. At NNPCN, we believe that education and shared understanding are key to supporting individuals and families with confidence and care.
